Arizona State University
The Department of Engineering at the ASU Polytechnic campus along with some of the professors from the Education Department began collaborating with CK-12 in the summer of 2007 to develop an engineering text for high school students based on the coming standards from Engineering Society.
High Tech High
High Tech High began in 2000 as a single charter high school launched by a coalition of San Diego business leaders and educators. HTH has been a supporter of CK-12 from the very inception of the organization. Math teachers have stepped forward to contribute their expertise as well as their content to seeding of our content. In addition, HTH leadership has offered their expertise as we have moved forward.
The Nueva School
Nueva is a nationally recognized independent school serving gifted and talented students. Instead of textbooks, the children work with a combination of trade books, primary sources, and teacher-created materials. CK-12 will allow our teachers to work collaboratively with each other, and with teachers from other schools and locations, quickly and easily to create content-rich and professional-looking materials perfectly suited to our students' particular needs, from a variety of sources. The ability then to share these materials with teachers all over the world will, in addition to making vast resources available, enable the creation of communities of teachers and home-school parents who all share an interest in a particular topic.
Public Knowledge Project
The Public Knowledge Project is a research and development initiative directed toward improving the scholarly and public quality of academic research through the development of innovative online publishing and knowledge-sharing environments. PKP shares with CK-12 a commitment to using new online technologies to increase access to learning resources, in ways that enhance the quality of those materials and the contribution that they can make to the public good.
Stanford University
The Stanford University School of Education and CK-12 share a commitment to improving student learning and increasing access to knowledge. The School of Education recently adopted a policy requiring its faculty members to make their scholarly articles available online for free to the public.
